Offshore welding

As a certified welding partner in the wind, oil, and gas sectors, we perform welding operations under the most challenging conditions. Our experienced welders ensure durability and safety, whether on-site or in our workshop.

We maintain a dedicated ‘flying team’ of twenty welders certified for welding on offshore installations, such as substations of offshore wind farms. For instance, we prepare weld seams on transition pieces that connect to monopiles (foundation piles), after which our teams are deployed to weld the topsides onto the transition pieces.

Our highly skilled teams collaborate with offshore companies to perform welding and cutting tasks, mainly in Europe, but occasionally across the globe. Gardec boasts an experienced team of certified welders. Specifically for offshore jobs onboard platforms, we provide welders with the required specialized training, such as OPITO BOSIET, HUET, and GWO certifications.

Offshore constructions fabricated in our workshop can then be welded onboard. For example, towers designed to store and secure wind turbine blades are welded and fixed aboard crane ships.
