Machining achievements
- Machining of pedestal foundations
Precision machining of foundations and components for offshore constructions, essential for stability and durability. - Drilling of foundation piles for offshore wind turbines
We support the energy transition with precision work for foundation piles of offshore wind farms. - Checking alignment of propeller thrusters
Our technicians perform accurate measurements and adjustments to ensure optimal alignment of propeller shafts, crucial for efficiency and safety. - Turning of shafts for a shipping lock
Our lathes are equipped to handle large shafts, such as those used in shipping locks. We guarantee a perfect fit, even for oversized dimensions. - Machining of offshore braces
Our services also include machining braces and structural components for offshore applications.
Investing in the future
Fast reaction times are critical in the maritime sector and general industry. By commissioning three new ‘Teach In’ lathes, we can serve customers even faster and respond promptly to urgent repairs. Two new ‘Teach In’ machines were installed at Werkhuizen Decloedt in Bredene and one at Gardec in Zeebrugge.
“These modern machines, capable of both semi-automatic and fully automatic operations, perfectly complement our production capabilities. They can be programmed for the rapid production of small series, as well as for one-off pieces. This is essential for bespoke manufacturing, which is a cornerstone of Gardec’s service. Thanks to the increased capacity and extensive stock of materials, including structural steel, stainless steel, bronze, and aluminum, we can guarantee shorter lead times.”
The new machines are user-friendly and easy to program. Operators can quickly recall machining processes, and files can be stored under a customer name and reference number for streamlined operations.
